Former teammates reunite through family
Goldberg's son commits to Colorado
Former NFL and MLB star Deion Sanders has been making headlines as the new head football coach at the University of Colorado. Now, he's reunited with his former teammate, Bill Goldberg.
Goldberg's son, Gage, recently committed to play football at Colorado. This gives the two former teammates a chance to reconnect on the field, albeit in different roles.
Sanders and Goldberg were teammates on the Atlanta Falcons in the early 1990s. They were both key members of the team's defense, with Sanders playing cornerback and Goldberg playing defensive tackle.
After their playing careers, both Sanders and Goldberg went on to successful careers in other fields. Sanders became a successful sportscaster and analyst, while Goldberg became a professional wrestler.
Now, the two former teammates are reunited through their sons. Gage Goldberg is a 6-foot-4, 270-pound defensive lineman who is considered one of the top recruits in the country.
Sanders is excited to have Goldberg's son on his team. He said that Gage is a "great player" and a "great kid." Goldberg is also excited about his son's commitment to Colorado. He said that he is confident that Gage will be successful both on and off the field.
